A little bit about me

Hi, my name is DeAnna, I am 25 years, a New Orleans native, 2019 graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School and 2023 graduate of Louisiana State University with a BA in Spanish with plans to begin the process of applying to Medical School.

In the past, I have babysat for 3 different families beginning in my Junior year of high school. I have a very high proficiency in the Spanish language and have studied abroad in Madrid, Spain in the spring of 2022.

I enjoying cooking and would be happy to prepare meals for the kids, do light housekeeping, help with homework, carpooling to and from school/summer camp and other activities.

I am looking for a part-time position. After school pick-ups, evenings, and weekends.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For 4 years, I worked at the YMCA in Belle Chasse. During my time, I cared for 1-month olds to 4 year olds, assisted elementary aged students with homework. With the help of my Supervisor, I started a cheer team for young girls aged 5-7 and 8-12. I loved my time at the YMCA but decided to leave once I began college.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing all activities outside, including swimming, soccer, football, kickball or going to park, etc. Indoors, I love to do arts and crafts, read books, watch movies, board games, baking, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is the kids. I want to ensure that the children have a safe and fun environment, while providing a worry-free setting for the parents.

I have previously cared for a child diagnosed with Autism and one with Down Syndrome.

My favorite moments are when the kids express to their parents how much they enjoyed our time together and they cannot wait for me to come back.
