I baby sat 3 to 8 kids after school and during the summer. I wouldn't take them around water until I received my First Aid and CPR certification. I really enjoyed interacting with them. Plus patience, understanding, and communication were and are the best friends to all individuals involved.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Nature walks, collecting different leaves, then helping them research what trees they came from, various crafts, simple cooking and baking recipes, playing outdoors, make pinecone trees, singalongs, etc. I really just throw options out there, then take it from there. I don't believe in couch potatoes, video games 24/7, or hours in front of the TV just to keep them quiet. I believe in continuing the structural routines set by the parents, including sleep schedules, eating habits, and set routines.
