Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
At one time I did work in a daycare I was hired as a pre-K teacher, which was very rewarding. Then they decided they needed someone to be a floater so I was in all of the rooms which included infants to preschool. I work there about six months then I found a Nanny job, which is what I really do and have for 20 years, but I gained a lot of knowledge and experience while I was at this daycare, but I knew I was only going to work there temporarily.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depending on the child’s age is what I would be doing with them, but regardless of the age, I love to interact with them indoor and outdoor play. They have a really good sense of humor and kids laugh a lot when they are with me. I also always have learning involved.

My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked for a lady that had a boy who was autistic nonverbal. I watched him after school until the mom came home around 10 PM. He was a very smart boy. I really enjoyed caring for him. I also cared for a boy who was autistic, but educated, but extremely verbal. I watched him part-time. It was an extremely challenging position a lot of times he would not listen to me. I think it was because he was adjusting to his new medication so I don’t mind watching children with special needs, but each child is different and you don’t know what they really like until you start caring for them, but I’m always willing to try but only part-time
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s been over many years, but I watched two kids pretty much since they were born for eight years. We had the best times we played with lots of games did lots of reading we went swimming. We played outside on the playground. I worked part time and loved every minute of watching these girls the best times ever so many laughs. I am still in contact with these girls. They are like my grandkids they will always be special to me.
