Hello,
My name is Deborah (nickname debralee) I'm a Proud USAF Mom of one Son, currently serving our country. Very patriotic, and honor our service men/women, past & present!🇺🇸 I enjoy music, photography, gardening, all of nature (minus spider's eeeek😬) animal lover, especially kitty's!! I'm best suited for children 4 & up, (due to being unable to physically lift more than 30lbs) I would require separate living quarter's (if possible) for myself & my 12yr old kitty "dolly".
I am a smoker (outside only, do not smoke around anyone who is not a smoker, especially children) I'm working toward quitting. I've never smoked in my own home when I had one. I ask that you not judge me, without meeting me first.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for my mother in law for five year's. This included bathing, dressing, giving medications, daily meals, overseeing her daily activities such as light exercise, some assistance walking. She weighed only 70lbs and at the time I was able to lift her with no physical limitations myself. That has since changed and I'm unable to lift more than 25 to 30lbs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My thought is this, you can't always plan an activity before meeting the children. Although children may be at their best in a structured environment. I'm of the opinion that activities are age appropriate, spontaneous, fun and I would welcome the kids sharing with me the things they enjoy. In return I would teach them things I enjoy like gardening, photography, poetry, animal's, music, the arts to name a few.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although my only son and his wife have not yet given me a grandchild, I've been an "auntie" since age 14. I've always believed that the most important, as well as rewarding part of being a caregiver (be it a child or adult), is connecting with that person. Passing along morals, and values of love, respect, kindness, which we all deserve. To give of one's time, attention, and energy is to do so unconditionally. If I myself did not have a need financially, it would be my desire to caregive in my free time, for no charge.

My experience with special needs children...

I grew up with a step sister who had epilepsy. However, I'm not physically equipped to handle special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I'm not officially a "Nanny" as I've never held this title for a "job". What I have to offer cannot be taught, it is called hands on experience as a Mom, (I've raised one Son age 30) Auntie (been an Auntie since age 14), Sister (I'm one of several, and the baby of two older biological sister's)
