Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Both indoors and outdoors I love doing art with kids! In my opinion there’s never not an opportunity to make children excited about art and how to make it. I love exercise as well, running, jumping, and dancing are always a must! I love finding ways to engage with kids on their level and about things they’re interested in themselves. I always do my best to understand what they like and what makes them excited!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The things that matter most to me as a childcare professional and nanny are: creativity, safety, learning and upholding boundaries, nurturing and encouraging emotional growth and self-sufficiency over time, and love! I believe that every child is capable of endlessly amazing things, with the help of kind nanny’s who care deeply about each and every child individually. I think the understanding of not every child being the same is helpful in nannying to understand each kid’s individual needs. I think it’s also important to love what you do!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience in the Head Start field which included working with students who had specific learning disabilities. I am more well-versed in speech therapy involvement and increasing vocabulary, as well as emotional regulation workshopping with students.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have never specifically nannied, but one of my favorite overall moments with one of my students is when I was in my class, helping the last student in my room get her big coat on for outside playtime. My student suddenly points and says “fog” towards the window. Assuming she means the weather, I say back to her “Yes it was foggy earlier! Good observation friend!”. She then proceeds to say “fog” a couple more times and I start to wonder, looking over I realize that there’s a live frog inside our classroom! We got the opportunity to capture it together and bring it outside to show her peers. It was a lovely learning experience about what temperatures frogs prefer!

Hello friends! My name is Bella, recently moved to the Olympia area 2 years ago! With a background of being a big sister to 3 little ones, I absolutely love taking care of littles. I had the opportunity to do so, for an old bakery boss of mine and I loved being a part of their lives. My goal as a child care provider is to create a safe, stable, and nursing environment. This includes lots of outdoor time, development in music, and activities not involving screens!
