A little bit about me

Hello, my name is DeLacey Simpson and I am 26 years old. I grew up in Chicago with 3 younger brothers and then my parents moved to North Carolina. Growing up with my dad being a pastor, not only do I have experience working in the community and with a variety of different cultures, I also helped raise my 3 younger brothers along with their friends while every parent was working or just needed a break. When I went to East Carolina University, I also helped nanny and worked at dollar general, but still graduated with a BA in English on time. After graduation I have been a full time nanny and part time nanny while I have been working towards my larger goal of having a successful business. This year my younger brother had his first child and I have been there every step of the way, while becoming a caretaker for the elderly as well. I enjoy caring for others because it has always been in my heart. I’m never angry or annoyed because I have understanding and empathy that outweighs.

I have been a full time nanny for 2 separate families, one with only 1 little boy age 3-6 (there for a couple years), and the other with 2 children 1 little girl age 5-7 and the other age 3-5 (there for a couple years).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When it comes to children activities, I am very much open to anything from trampoline parks, to museums, and even the library has much to offer. I also do not mind staying inside and playing all kinds of games instead of screen time, unless you tell me otherwise.

My experience with special needs children...

I took care of a church member’s special needs child that was a little girl age 7 every Sunday after church She had Cerebral Palsy, but she was super smart and knew how to tell me how to help.
