More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
After working as a nanny in a private home for more than 2 years, I worked as a preschool/PreK teacher for a local childcare center. I had to leave the childcare center after the pandemic hit. In addition to these years of experience, I also volunteered at the Apple Blossom Children's Learning Center throughout my teen years. I have babysat for several families and maintain long lasting relationships with all of my prior charges. I look forward to beginning a career in early childhood or elementary education in the future once life returns to normalcy.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read with children, create art projects, sing and dance, and make messy science experiments! ( always safe and cleaned up afterwards!) I love to play games and create games. I like to create scavenger hunts for the children and engage the children in activities that inspire imagination, problem solving, riddles, and fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Learning about and understanding each individual child as well as the family as a whole in order to create a successful and stress-free partnership with the family. That is critically important! In addition, a good nanny must also understand the parenting style of the parents and echo that. A nanny is a partner, there to support the family's needs and I take that position very seriously. Making the homelife less stressed for the children and the parents is an important part of being a nanny. I also feel that enriching the children's lives with fun activities and educational games is an important part of being a nanny! Of course none of this is possible without being a safe, reliable, honest & kind nanny to begin with so that is the foundation for all of the above!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who have autism spectrum disorders, hearing impairments and learning disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A special moment I have with the children I nannied for was when I was asked to watch the girls overnight. It was one of the first times this was requested of me. We watched a movie, danced, and created a healthy dinner together! Afterwards, we cleaned the house extra special for their parents and made signs to welcome the parents back home after a stressful trip they had to make. The parents seemed to love it and the girls felt so happy to provide their parents with this special homecoming.

Since everything that happened due to Covid-19, I have moved and have been safely distancing while helping my sister with her two kids at home. I can assure you that your kid(s) will be well cared for and I can help with tasks around the house as well. I am a very good multitasker and can help your kid(s) learn fun new things. I think education is really important although being a kid is about having fun.
