Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Any activities families are open to. Weather indoor or outdoor, learning activities or just for fun. In raising my children I felt strongly that open communication and connection with children were an important part of their informative years. As children develop into their teenage years things like friends, computers(social media etc) and cell phones seemingly become more important. All of which I'm not against but in moderation. One example in keeping family time, I invoked a mandatory weekly family game night, playing Monopoly, Clue, Sorry, a few of our favorites, I felt this kept family fun time w stronger communication/connection. My 3 children along with their spouses as adults kept this going by having a monthly siblings game night. Mom of course as babysitter for the grandchildren. Although everyday living takes us in different directions, it warms my heart as we still hold many special traditional events. Ex: wreath making class, baking Xmas cookies, Easter eggs hunt.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Not just to be a nanny but a person who will be there when needed to care for and instill love and happiness in a child's life. It has been said and is my belief...children from infant and through the years, are like sponges. Innocent yet absorb everything that comes to them in life. A good foundation sets the path for a great future.
