A little bit about me

Hi Im 26 years old and Bilingual fluent in English/Spanish. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and I’m relocating to Memphis on the weekend of 9/30/24. I have up to date certifications for CPR, FIRST AID, AED. Extensive experience with multiples of all ages. Ive been a professional nanny from [phone number hidden] and was a resident aid in a nursing home from [phone number hidden]. I was a volunteer teachers assistant to a K-4 class once a week my freshman year of high school. All throughout high school I was a volunteer nursery teacher at a church with 5-15 children of all ages. I went to UWM for a year and a half for Biomedical science but realized I wasn’t happy and decided to lean into the care field like I had originally planed. I love doing arts and crafts, creating age appropriate educational activities, going on outings to museums/parks/play centers/pools/playgroups/walks and much more! I hope to find a family that appreciates and values my experience, my work, and most of all me as a person.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Being the oldest in my family I was the default caregiver and found a passion for taking care of others. I started babysitting as a job as soon as I was 12. I was a freshman in high school as a volunteer teachers aide for a k-4 class once a week for the whole school year. All throughout high school I was also the volunteer nursery aide in a church my family attended several times a week. After high school I began to nanny professionally part time while attending university.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities I like to do are anything crafty appropriate to the age, indoor play places, museums, mall outings etc. Outdoor activities I like to do is walks, finding great parks, the beach, zoo, picnics etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that I help lay the fundamentals to who they are going to be in the future. To me it is both scary and rewarding caring for children like they’re mine but aren’t. I take pride in knowing I gave them the best of me.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for children with speech, learning, developmental, and physical disabilities. They each have their own challenges that come with finding a routine with structure that works for them. I’ve found that working with special needs children has helped teach me 2 things to succeed in my job is to have loads of patience and to not take anything personal.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When my nanny kid Girl 4yr old had started going to daycare part time and met her first bully ever, she killed him with kindness like I taught her to and also told him “if you don’t stop I’m going to tell D and you’re going to be in BIG trouble”. When she told me what happened I wanted to cry because I was so proud that she used what I taught her to fight her own battles but knows that if she needs me I’d always be there.
