My name is Destiny Burton. I am 18. I am an early high school graduate; I am currently a Senior at Southeastern University and as a remote learner I am able to work with a flexible schedule. I am very passionate about helping others and childcare.

In fact, I worked with a boy who had severe Down Syndrome for 8 years. I played with and taught him. Additionally, I’ve tutored those with ADHD, Autism, and Downs. Furthermore, I know sign language and took care of a boy who was both deaf and had type 1 diabetes. I nannied 3 foster siblings ages 1, 5, and 8. I have also worked as a respite worker for infants with some of the most significant disabilities: I worked one-on-one with a boy with a brain deformity, a boy with both Epilepsy and cerebral palsy, and two kids with Down Syndrome

I have also worked with two other infants, 2 months and 6 months until their parents could get back on their feet.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For 6 years I worked with a boy who has severe Down Syndrome. I played with and taught him. Additionally, I’ve tutored those with ADHD, Autism, and Downs. Furthermore, I know sign language and took care of a boy who was both deaf and had type 1 diabetes. I nannied foster siblings and worked as a respite worker for children with the most significant disabilities: I worked one-on-one with a boy with a brain deformity, a boy with both Epilepsy and cerebral palsy, and two kids with Down Syndrome. I have also been a nanny to infants, 2 months old girl, every weekend and a 6-month-old boy every weekday for 12 hours. I have a variety of skills including 1st aid, CPR, and infant and child babysitting CPR certifications through red cross along with Seizure rescue and Epilepsy care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy education into fun activities, telling stories, playing games, and encouraging positive behavior. Music is an element I try to incorporate. Furthermore, I LOVE to take kids outside and let them get to see what it is like versus always being inside. I always go with the flow of the child's personality and behavior to dictate their activities rather than forcing anything upon them.
