A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Destiny, I’m 23 years old and I’ve always loved working with kids. Back in high school, I babysat regularly for families in my neighborhood and helped care for children of all ages, from infants to older kids. I was also part of an early childhood education program all four years, which gave me hands-on experience volunteering at a local elementary school and even helping run a student-led daycare.

After high school, I took some time to focus on other parts of my life, but I’ve realized how much I miss being around kids and creating fun, nurturing environments for them. I’m a creative, patient, and easygoing person who loves outdoor activities, crafts, board games, and anything hands-on. I’m also pet-friendly and currently working on renewing my CPR and First Aid certifications so I can provide the safest care possible.

As part of my high school curriculum, I volunteered as an assistant teacher in a 3rd grade elementary class next door. I helped with classroom activities, supported students with their work, and gained hands-on experience in a real teaching environment. Throughout all four years of high school, I was also part of the Early Childhood program, where we ran a student-led daycare. These experiences deepened my passion for working with children and strengthened my skills in patience, communication, and creativity.
