More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for children in both professional and personal settings. During my 9 years in the U.S. Navy, I gained valuable experience working in the Emergency Room, where I cared for patients of all ages in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. This role strengthened my ability to remain calm, attentive, and compassionate while prioritizing safety and well-being.

In addition, I have provided childcare for family members, including caring for infants and young children, assisting with daily routines, meals, activities, and bedtime. As the oldest of seven siblings, I have also spent much of my life helping care for younger children, which taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in caregiving and a genuine love for working with children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities. Some of my favorite activities include baking simple treats together, arts and crafts, reading books, outdoor play, nature walks, board games, puzzles, and imaginative play. I also enjoy helping with homework, teaching life skills, and encouraging creativity through hands-on activities. My goal is to keep children active, learning, and having fun while creating a safe and positive environment where they feel supported and encouraged.

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel valued, secure, and encouraged to grow. I believe a nanny plays an important role in a child's development by providing consistency, patience, and positive guidance while supporting the family's routines and values.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal experience caring for and supporting individuals with special needs through my younger brother, who has Down syndrome. Growing up, I learned the importance of patience, understanding, adaptability, and celebrating each child's unique abilities and strengths.
