A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Destiny. Taking care of kids has always been a passion of mine. I’m a Certified Nursing Assistant, and work a warehouse job full time. I am in the process of earning my GED and would love extra income to be able to further my education! I’ve babysat a lot for people in my family. I grew up to be ‘The Cool Cousin’ as my younger cousins say! They tell me all the time how much of a mom I’ve been when they felt they didn’t have anyone else.

Listening and understanding is very important to me. I try to be the person I never had growing up and it inspires me to be a better person in general. I think there’s a lot to learn from kids. And of course I’d love to answer all their questions when no one else is around to answer. Or read books to them and tell them stories. Provide them with wisdom even in my young age.

Kids are my passion! Always have been. So while I definitely can’t afford my own, or want any right now, I’m more than happy to watch yours!

I babysat kids all the time growing up. Learned how to take care of others before I could take care of myself fully! I’m very understanding and loving. All my younger (and most of my older) cousins love to be around me! They claim they don’t have to worry about anything when I’m around. They know I’d do anything to make sure they had what they need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Listening and understanding. Kids have to learn how to be human. It’s their first time living too, and they aren’t always able to express the proper feeling. Being able to be reasonable, yet firm when needed. They need structure, but also understand that not everything goes their way.
