A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Destiny Mixon and I am 19 years old (20 in September). I’m currently a senior at Texas State University up in San Marcos, but I am here in Corpus for the summer time. I have a lot of experience babysitting and looking after kids ages 1-10 through family and family friends. I am not CPR/First Aid certified but I am going to be this summer. Outside of taking care of the kid(s), I am willing to do light chore work as well as cooking/preparing meals. I’m the oldest of 2 other sisters (16 and 7) and many cousins so I would say I’m pretty good with kids and can handle the craziness. I’m more than ok with meeting before if you’d like to get to know me before I watch the kid(s), as I am an open book!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy swimming, playing games (I can bring my own Nintendo Switch to connect to the TV), arts and crafts, and just making my own fun outside by going to the park, on a walk, playing with chalk, etc. If necessary I can always supply simple supplies for activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I sometimes watch over quadruplets and this one time we had built a giant pillow fort in their living room and it just made me happy that they were able to have so much fun, laughing and all of them tackling me in a hug. Every time they see me they ask about making one and that tells me that that they enjoy that memory as much as I did.
