More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During my high school years I worked in summer camps for summer youth over the summers , Whilst there I was in charge of education time for the children of ages 2-12. I’ve also done tutoring in my free time in high school .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to allow children to express their creativity by doing hobbies they’re passionate about . Indoor activities I like to do with children depends on the age of the child , I have a powerpoint of indoor activities to do with children of all ages and if you’d like to hear about it i’d be more than happy to share it with you . As for outdoor activities , I like to take children to the park if weather permits , if not we can go to museums , libraries that are kid friendly , I like to plan fun picnics in the summer or when weather is permitting , scavenger hunts in kid safe areas where i’m attentive to the children the whole time while they’re searching and many more .

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a bond and gaining trust with the child(ren) because you have to look at it as this child is your responsibility , you’re basically a secondhand parent figure to them so you need to make them feel as secure and wanted as possible and that’s always something I take pride in doing .

My experience with special needs children...

I have two years of experience with special needs children such as Autism , Children with different Sensory sensitivities , Tourette’s Syndrome , ADHD, and Down Syndrome .

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when the child i was watching over wrote me a farewell song ( That was her way of being creative we’d dance and sing , music was her passion and i’m pretty sure she’ll be a famous singer one day ) It was a very bittersweet moment but for the most part i was so grateful and proud not only because she did it on her own but because of how thoughtful it was for her to incorporate something we enjoyed doing together into an extravagant goodbye .
Another favorite nanny moment I still have til this day is when the children I used to look after randomly facetime me throughout the day off their ipad just to check in on me and show me what they’ve been learning , it just shows i left a great mark on them and we created an everlasting bond.
