Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a church daycare since I was 11 years old until the beginning of the pandemic. I worked mostly with ages 1-4 but I also worked with ages up to 12 (when I got older). I’ve always been super great and attentive with children. Besides that, I’ve had a few jobs here and there, but most of my full time nanny work started in 2021.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I do all kinds of age appropriate activities!! It really depends on the kids :) if they like music, we can learn how to play instruments, if they like being outside and doing things out there, we can do that as well. It really just depends on what your kiddos love to do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think that it’s very important to be someone who your kids trusts and that they feel loved and very cared for. Most kids really don’t like to be away from their parents, so I really value making everything as easy for them as possible, but still guiding them and creating a really great space to grow as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are really seeing all of the kids I take care of happy and smiling It. Some specific moments I have though are getting the babies I take care of to wave, I know it’s very small, but it’s terribly cute when a 6 or 7 month old baby waves at you. Also just being able to go out and do things and create connections is just the best thing ever.
