During the last year of my undergraduate degree and throughout my master’s program, I nannied for a wonderful family with four girls 4–5 days a week for half days. Their oldest is now 10, followed by ages 6 and 4, and I cared for their youngest from the time she was a newborn until she was about 15 months old. I became incredibly close with the girls and their family, and it was truly heartbreaking to leave them when I graduated.
I love working with children as it is quite opposite to accounting. I’m comfortable with all ages, from newborns to older kids, and I love getting to know each child’s personality and interests. I also spent the past five years coaching tennis to young children, which was always one of the highlights of my week.
