The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to bring my open, caring attitude to help guide a child as they grow. I was fortunate enough to attend a child development workshop years ago that was so educational. The topics touched on issues never discussed in school. Things like positive interactions where you ask a child to "please walk" vs "don't run." Such a simple concept but so life-changing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When my grandchild was 3 she told me a story with different characters, a dog, cat, butterfly. As she was telling me the story and " writing it down ", I was video taping her. After about 3 minutes she looks at me and says "can you please stop filming me " So cute. I have many more moments with her, but I especially love this one.
