Is remembering you aren’t just a nanny.. It’s just the title. I found that personally when you connect yourself with a title too much you start to get disassociated with the work that comes behind it. Always remember you are more than a nanny to a growing child in their prime years of life.

One time I was picking up a toddler up from day care with their blood related aunt and when we reached the campus the kid had ran up to me instead of the aunt because they were more familiar with me more than their own family. It made me feel special because even though there’s no blood that connects us you can’t deny the bond we had.
