A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Dollie Barlow. I am 33 years old. I grew up in a big family with several younger siblings. Although I do not have children of my own, I love to work with children. My mother owned a daycare when I was growing up so I had the opportunity to take classes on child developement and voluntarily worked in the toddler room. I have been a nanny many times to small and large groups of children. I've also taught preschool and home school to many children. I have worked with special needs children, doing attendant care etc. I also have had power of attorney to five children in the past. I am currently in the process of getting licensed to be a foster parent, but I am looking for a consistent job working with children. I have my first aid, cpr, and finger print cards. I also have my own vehicle incase there is a need to transport your children. I prefer babysitting children in my own home, but would be willing to come to your home if that is the need. Thank you!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I grew up helping/volunteering at my mothers daycare. I have taught home school for many years to siblings, nieces, and nephews. I was a volunteer teacher in a private community school for many years as well. I have worked with developmentally delayed children, worked with small children with behavioral issues, and done attendant care for nonverbal special needs children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy getting involved with children, whether it be playing games, reading, story telling, homework, or outdoor exercise. Even playing at the park and making new friends.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing about being a nanny is making sure the child or children feel loved, cared for, and safe. Also communication with the parents is very important.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for several nonverbal special needs children. I have worked with children who were developmentally delayed and also children with minor behavioral issues.

I have had many memorable moments while being a nanny. I really enjoy watching children work together. It is very important to me that they share, take turns, and care for one another. I also love to see their creativity and encourage them to try new things.
