"Reliable. Dependable. On time. Flexible. Goes above and beyond. Don worked for me for 2 years. He mainly watched my 3 elementary aged kids but occasionally my preschooler as well. He would assist my kids with homework and school projects. Additionally, he would provide my kids with great, educational and fun outings. Don is comfortable with meal prep/serving. Don is willing to work long hours and is flexible with last minute schedule changes. He has a good attitude and works hard to provide great care for kids."

More About Me

1 year as a special education teacher
2 years as caretaker & tutor to 4 siblings 2g, 6g, 8b, 10g.
Many MANY babysitting jobs over the last 2 years with ages NB - 12yo

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

INDOOR: Crafts, indoor garden, board games, bracelets, memory/match the pair of fish, bake & decorate, indoor obstacle course, fort/tent, pretend play, science experiment, scavenger hunt, makeovers, jokes/riddles, read with over the top excitement, drawing, open mic, mad libs/word games, sensory bin.
OUTDOOR: biking, swimming, soccer, tag, fly drones, hiking, biking, go for a backwards walk, go for a sideways walk, learn to use a compass, walk the dog, build a sand castle, sledding, skiing, snow tubing, water tubing, fishing, pitch the tent and pretend to go camping/pretend play, birdwatching/use binoculars, follow the dog around the yard, hide and seek, dig a hole and fill it with water, dig a hole and bury treasure, get out the treasure map for last years berried treasure, jump in the piled up leaves, make a snow man, make a snow angel, swing, slide, climb, roll down a hill.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to connect with kids and help them build on themselves.
25% of the children in the US, 18.5 million kids, will grow up without a father. Being a positive male role model and leader by example is essential to help kids deepen and broaden their emotional vocabulary and understand all the ways that they should appreciate themselves.

My experience with special needs children...

Having attained a degree in special education I have worked with special needs children for 3 years of all ages and divergencies, in the classroom, and in their homes.
I focus my "continuing education" on deepening my understanding of trauma, ADHD and autism, in particular, how each are formed, how each may be exhibited, and how each may be managed if not fully overcome.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I could say it is all the mornings and afternoons of "I love you s". But the pinnacle of beaming pride comes from a troubled boy learning what is required to calm his troubled mind and I was there to help make all that happen. He grew up that day.
