A little bit about me

I am retired from property management. Prior to this I did housekeeping and I was also a Nanny for three children. In college I worked at Kindercare.

I raised three children of my own. I was a Girl Scout Leader for three years. I love children. I like interacting and watching their growth and development.

I have also sat with three different childrens that had Downs-Syndrome. I have had first aid training and CPR but at this time they are not up to date. I don't mind going to some classes for new certificates.

I have references available. My family from my last job have relocated to Florida or I would still be there.

I like reading to children, playing games and teaching them songs and rhymes.

I voluntered as a Girl Scout Leader.
As a property manager I planned partirs during the holidays for the children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, drawing and playing games. Age appropriate activities like pretending we are cooking, tending to a store or caring for pets (stuffed animals).

Playing outside going for a walk, going to a park feeding cracked corn to the ducks at the lake on Turner Lake Road.

Practicing batting and catching. Tossing the football or playing kickball. Depending on your childs interest.

IThe most important part of being a nanny is to keep the children happy and safe. Keeping the parents informed about daily activities and following parents instructions.

My experience with special needs children...

The last Downs-Syndrome child I cared for I assisted with his speech class by reiterating what he learned on his Zoom lesson.

We decorated Christmas cookies and made ornaments for the family tree.

We played bingo, jenga blocks, Lava game. We played with playdoh. Outside we blew bubbles and did mineral mining on a Smithsonian kit.

The most important part about being a nanny...

On my last day we had a little party. I brought cupcakes and sprite. He was so excied and appreciative he gave me a big hug.
