Insuring the safety and protection of a child. Being patient, nurturing and kind to them. I would also say implementing the needs and desires of the parents. It is vitally important to always communicate and be completely transparent when caring for someone's child.

I have more experience working with special needs adults, however I have briefly worked with special needs children over 10 years ago.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have never worked as a "Nanny". However, my favorite "Nan" moment( what my grandchildren call me) Is when my grandson's teacher asked him what my name was, and he replied, 'Oh that's just Nan." He only recently learned what my actual name is.

I have so many years of caring for kids from infancy to teenagers.
My main goal is to teach your child as well as keep them safe. I understand there is a literacy problem in the USA so I’m really focused on teaching phonics and basic math skills. I don’t believe that kids should be sitting in front of a screen all day, it hurts their brain development more than people realize. When I watch kids I only allow 1 hour of supervised screen time.
I also encourage kids to eat healthy, I’m a no bs sitter. I have explained to the pickiest of kids why they have to eat the meal that has been prepared for them and I guess when you break down the nutritional facts and explain how each component helps them grow, they stop fighting about meal times.
