I have two children of my own, I have worked in professional environment's where I have taken care of children ages 3 up to 21- working in a group home for teenagers that were taken by CPS.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When babysitting indoors, I keep kids engaged with fun, screen-free activities. We can do simple crafts like making playdough, puppets, or collages, or explore easy science experiments such as baking soda volcanos and sink-or-float tests. For active play, we can set up obstacle courses, play freeze dance, or try balloon volleyball to burn energy safely inside. For quieter moments, I bring out puzzles, coloring, storytime, and even “build-a-story” games to spark creativity. These activities keep children entertained, learning, and moving — all without needing to go outside.

The most important aspect of nannying children is ensuring their safety and overall well-being, both physically and emotionally. A nanny must always provide vigilant supervision to prevent accidents and respond quickly in emergencies, which is why being trained in first aid and CPR is essential. Beyond physical safety, it’s equally important to build trust and create a nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported. Consistent routines, patience, and positive guidance help children thrive, as they know they are cared for and understood.
