In college my professor had 6 kids, so at least one of them was always around. Once we were working on post production for a shoot and one of his daughters came up to me and asked for help on her homework. I stopped what I was doing and realized it was a simple math problem so I talked her through it before going back to editing.

When I was younger I was known for having a creative imagination and it's something I somehow kept. Playing toy or make-believe is easily my favorite. Driving around and going to parks. Watching movies or playing video games (if the guardian approve of screen time).

Being observant of both the kid(s) and environment. Often big or small problems can be helped before they even start if you're paying attention. Especially with younger kids.

I bought someone a toy water gun, very similar to ones I had growing up, and It was the first time he had one. I remember us playing in the backyard soaked in water and running around with his dog.
