I worked for over twenty years as an early childhood educator in an early intervention program. As such, I supported children with developmental delays and disabilities as well as those diagnosed with autism, Downs Syndrome, neurological differences, Fragile X and other special needs. I thoroughly enjoyed this work. I have also provided respite care for families who had children with developmental disabilities as well as medical exceptional needs. I believe that the families of children with exceptional needs are most knowledgeable regarding their children.
