Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a very artsy person so I love being able to do hands on crafts, as well as I love playing with legos. With my previous nannying job, we always found time to go to the park, swim, play sports outdoors, go fishing, go karting and all sorts of adventures. I always wanted the kids to be able to give their parents a run down of everything we did during the day rather than just us sitting around at home.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure that at the end of the day, the kid/s know they are loved and taken care of. The biggest part about being a nanny is making sure the kids are happy, healthy and have a smile on their face.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have not specifically taken care of special needs children. My aunt is handicapped and have spent a lot of time taking care and helping her.
The most important part about being a nanny...
By far my favorite moment of nannying was teaching the kids I used to nanny how to fish. The adrenaline of the kids catching their first fish was the cutest thing!
