Hello my name is Eliana Yanez, I’m 64 years young and I love being a live in or live out nanny. Im also an abuelita with 7 grandkids of my own. Ranging from ages 11yrs.-14 months old. Yes I’ve been a live in nanny for three different wonderful families! I studied Early Childhood Education in College and earned my ECE units and Certificate. I’ve worked in preschools. I’ve worked as a volunteer for Refuge church with their teen mothers programs. Also worked at ABC Unified School Districts teen mother program. We were hired to watch young girls babies, while they attended their high school classes to earn their high school diplomas and graduate. I also have three adult kids, that has given us 7 going on 8 grandkids. Ages [phone number hidden] months old, 15 months old and one other grandson due this April. Now that’s lots of experience right there, wouldn’t you say? We will have four grandsons and four granddaughters. We have been really blessed!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to read to them, love to play music for them, we do some small exercises and play outside at the nearby parks. Take them on the swings, go on walks to get fresh air and I like to show and teach them about nature. Flowers, birds, airplanes, cars, little dogs walking by. Teach them their alphabet, of course depending on their age. Build things with their toys, teach them colors and how to say and learn numbers one through ten to start. And also rock with them and maybe let them watch Sesame Street and children’s movies for a bit. I’m creative, and like to make different things, so they can paint or color, of course appropriate age for those types of activities.as well. Even talking to them about different foods they eat and teach them what’s good and nutritious for them. I like to play with them while they’re in the bath tub with bubbles and their bath toys.. what kids don’t like bubbles? Anyway, that’s just a few of the things I like to do with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters is making the kiddos happy and watching them grow and learn by the things I teach them. By bonding with them and enjoying outside activities and playing music for them to dance and exercise to. I love making them good, nutritious and healthy food. I just love children! My newborns up to toddlers ages 3 and 4, are my favorite ages. They are so smart, so innocent and are like little sponges! They are precious little people who need lots of love, affection and attention. I just love that! 👶🏻❤️🦋

The most important part about being a nanny...

Well, it was quite funny to see me taking the 3 boys on a walk with their labradoodle as big and tall he was going on a walk with the twin boys, around 6 months old, down on the bottom part of the stroller, and then their 3 year old brother on the same stroller on another attachment on the top middle of the stroller. If you can picture that! We actually turned heads at times. It was a sight to see! Neat stroller though. Also when the twins were lying on the carpet and I turned the music on for them. Their little legs started moving to the beat! They loved their music. I’m sure there were more, but that’s what I really thought was adorable and funny at the same time..
