My name is Elissa K Horan. I absolutely love children; I have always known I’ve wanted to be a mother. Caring for children is second nature to me because I helped a lot with my brother growing up, and even now that my younger brother is 16 I still take care of him. I have watched & cared for newborns, one of which lived with my family for a while. I have watched and cared for numerous toddlers, including my niece and nephew who lived with us for awhile as well. When watching children it is important to have patience and I am full of it, especially because the children I look after are not my own. I show them kindness while also teaching them to show kindness as well. For example, I have watched many groups of siblings, and we all know how that can go. They’re so sweet to each other until the other takes their toy, etc. In these situations I’m able to resolve frustrations that each child is feeling and come to a resolution. I just want to be a light in every child’s life!
