Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in childcare since I was in High School. Every Sunday I would work at the childcare center nearby to help our parents who wanted to attend church services. I also have volunteered at many festivals for face paintings, doing nails, or just helping out with keeping children occupied so the parents could shop!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depending on the age I am up for anything the child likes to do. Going for a walk so they are outside, coloring, reading and doing educational activities. Whatever the parent requires I am also okay with, meaning if we need to stay indoors or just in the backyard, no park or anything. Again, whatever makes the child and the parent comfortable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
safety and making sure your child is comfortable! I have taken care of nieces and nephews (since birth) and it is so important to me that the child is always safe, as well as the parent to be 100% comfortable with me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was when my nephew held his bottle for the first time. I also remember when I was full-time helping my aunt with her three kids and just seeing how different each cousin really was and how amazing their personalities are as they are growing up. It is so incredible to be apart of a child's life and I always appreciate having a special place in a family's life.
