More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I have also cared for children includes my recent role as a Montessori nanny for a family with three children (ages 8, 14, and 17), where I supported daily routines, academic work, extracurricular schedules, meal preparation, and overall household flow.
Prior to that, I spent over two decades as a Head Teacher at a Montessori School, guiding multi-age classrooms and partnering closely with families to support children socially, emotionally, and academically. I also founded and led a small Montessori pod during COVID, providing individualized learning support in a home-based setting.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with children navigating learning differences, anxiety, and varying developmental needs, always with patience, structure, and warmth.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include spending time outdoors — nature walks, backyard games, gardening, or simply exploring and observing the world around us. I also love quieter indoor time such as reading together, working on creative projects, baking or cooking simple meals, and supporting homework in a calm and encouraging way.
With school-age children especially, I enjoy helping them pursue their own interests — whether that’s organizing a small project, preparing for a presentation, practicing a sport, or learning a new skill. I try to balance structure with fun, independence with guidance, and always make room for laughter along the way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust — with both the children and the parents. Children thrive when they feel emotionally safe, understood, and respected. When that foundation is in place, everything else — learning, responsibility, confidence, even behavior — grows more naturally.
I also believe consistency and partnership with parents are essential. A nanny becomes an extension of the family, helping to create a steady, supportive environment where children can develop independence while knowing they are deeply cared for. It is a role I take seriously and hold with great respect.

My experience with special needs children...
Throughout my career, I have worked with children who experience a range of learning differences, anxiety, attention challenges, and executive functioning difficulties. In both classroom and home settings, I have supported children who benefit from additional structure, clear expectations, and gentle, consistent guidance.
My approach is rooted in patience, observation, and respect. I take time to understand each child’s individual strengths and challenges, adapting routines and communication styles to help them feel capable and secure. I work closely with parents (and when appropriate, teachers or specialists) to maintain consistency and ensure that children receive the steady encouragement they need to build confidence and independence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened after weeks of gently supporting a child who was struggling with confidence around schoolwork. We had been working patiently, breaking assignments into manageable pieces and celebrating small successes along the way. One afternoon, without prompting, he looked up at me and said, “I think I can actually do this on my own.”
It wasn’t a big public achievement or a perfect report card — it was that quiet shift in self-belief. Watching a child recognize their own capability is such a meaningful and humbling experience. Moments like that remind me why I love this work so much.
