I have had the privilege of being a long-term babysitter to a wonderful foster family of four or more over the past four years, caring for children of various ages, ranging from infancy to 12 years or older. After being a long-term babysitter for that family, I transitioned into a full-time nanny role for several families this year. When working privately, I had multiple days of no work, so I opted to apply to the Kanawha County Board of Education to become a Teacher's Aid. Upon obtaining the necessary certifications such as CPR and First Aid, and while passing the required test. I started substituting on an as-needed basis. Having spent my life surrounded by children, I have great joy in providing care, happiness, and supporting their educational development. I am looking for a reliable, secure, and stable job that allows me to continue making a positive impact on young lives. I am a talker! I was raised by my wonderful grandparents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kid is happy with the nanny and that the nanny has respect from the kids and family. I think that nanny’s play such an important roll in a kids life so it is especially important to make sure that as a nanny is behaving and treating the kids in the best way humanly possible.

My experience with special needs children...

When working for the board, I did a term being an aid for a little boy who had undetermined needs. I loved and enjoyed making him happy and making sure he was safe as well.
