The most important thing about being a nanny to me is to be a positive impact in the Childs life. I focus of studying development and behavior in psychology. Through that I have learned how important childhood experiences are. Its important for me to help children feel secure to express their feelings and needs to me. Another important thing to me is to be fully attentive to kids; this way they can feel understood and seen. I love teaching kids new things and introducing them to positive stimulating activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment I have had so far is when I was watching this 7 year old who loved baseball. So when I had found that out I told him how I do travel softball and was able to educate him on the differences of baseball and softball. Soon after we packed up my car with our baseball/softball bags and basket of balls. We went to this open softball field were we ended up practicing batting, throwing and field work for a couple hours. The whole time we had so much fun and I was able to teach him a lot and through that I was able to learn a lot about what I needed to work on too. It was such a fun and exciting day for the both of us which I really loved.
