I have been a babysitter for 13+ years. I was also nanny for a 12 year old girl. I have experience working with kids who were sexually/physically abused, had reactive attachment disorder, and emotional impairments. The experience taught me patience and understanding. I graduated with my education degree in 2020. I have been a third grade teacher for 2 years
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to bring a bag of activities for the kids since, in my experience, kids enjoy playing with other people's toys. I love doing crafts and hands on activities that encourage development and creativity. I love playing outside the most. I will play any kind of sport but I especially love playing imagination games. If there is a park nearby, I often take the kids there. I understand how important reading is for a child's learning development so I often include time to read together.

The first time I met the kid I used to nanny, we went outside to play. She brought her radio outside and we had a dance party, dressed with feather boas. The song we were dancing to? A commercial jingle for Kia cars. Any time that jingle came on the radio while I was with her, she brought it up as her favorite memory of our time together.
