A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ella. I'm 19 years old and I've been providing childcare and pet care for six years now. I have experience in ABA and I was previously a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), along with currently being CPR/first aid/AED certified. I am earning my degree in Music Therapy. In my previous childcare jobs, I have made an effort to promote the importance of education and learning, even among babies and toddlers (they are retaining MUCH more information than you think!) In addition to this, I'm creative and passionate about coming up with fun activities and crafts that your kids will LOVE. My biggest goal as a caregiver is to encourage creativity, empathy, learning, and engagement! I'm enthusiastic about allowing kids to be their true selves while fostering the concept of being kind, helpful, and considerate. With this being said, I’d love to hear more about this position. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The amazing thing about being a nanny is that there are SO many fun activities you can do. If it’s a beautiful day outside, we can go on a walk, play with chalk, go to the park, or ride bikes. If it’s a rainy day, we can stay inside and color, play with toys, and do arts and crafts.
I love the flexibility of being a nanny SO much!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love that being a nanny is unpredictable and flexible. With most jobs, you get bored easily and it becomes repetitive. However, with nannying, you truly never know what is coming next, AND you can switch things up daily to make the day more enjoyable for you and the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with children who have developmental disabilities and learning disabilities. For example, I have experience watching children with down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, ODD, ADHD, and more. In my time as a RBT, I was trained to learn how to help kiddos who need a little more help, whether that may be bathroom assistance, or even walking, I am absolutely prepared to do it all. My job is to make sure that your babies are safe in my hands, but also to ensure that they have the best quality of life. I never aim for the bare minimum in childcare, I always try to go above and beyond.

The most important part about being a nanny...

On the last day of one of my nanny jobs, one of my kiddos told me that she loved me to the moon and back and she never wanted me to leave. It was heartbreaking, but also beautiful because I felt like I had fulfilled my purpose in that position.
