During the school year I work at an Early Childhood Development Center that services ages 0-5, and I have been here for over a year now. I work as a substitute, which allows me to get extensive experience with all age groups. I also frequently pick up babysitting jobs around school and work hours, and I have a few families I have worked closely with.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I believe very strongly in play centered learning, and I think children learn best when they are allowed to explore their world. Because of this, I love to do outdoor activities like nature walks and going to parks. I also consider myself quite creative, and I love to do arts and crafts activities as well!
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered at a school for special needs children and worked with children with various conditions including down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and many others. I worked with special needs children ages 1- 18 years.
