I have been babysitting since i was 8(started as mothers helper), volunteered for 5 months in a preschool in the infant room when I was 14, and was an assistant teacher for about a year in a childcare center when I was 16-17

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me the most important part is being able to support a child developing, every child will be diffrent so i like to figure out their preferences first(how they feel about hugs or games, ect) some children prefir hugs all the time wile others dont, some need a stuffy or blanket when they are upset and some just prefir to be able to self regulate, its all about supporting the child as their own person and helping them develop in their own way
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with an autistic child for a little wile as his babysitter, we got along verry well and he was a verry sweet boy, it tought me alot about the best ways to interact with all kinda of children
