The children come first , their needs and their emotions too. I try to teach them to share , listen to instruction , good character traits like thank you. They need to feel safe do I follow through with reward or light consequence (nothing physical ever ) to build trust at first. Example may be you need to wait five minutes to play with that you that toy because you hit a friend. Then I always tell them I forgive them , we all make mistakes , an hug or high 5 and they feel happy again.
