A little bit about me

My name is Emily, and I’ve worked with children of all ages, from newborns and infants to toddlers and school-aged kids. I truly enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and creating a safe, fun, and caring environment where they can feel comfortable and be themselves.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with many wonderful families over the years, whether for date nights, recurring schedules, school breaks, or occasional babysitting needs. I’m comfortable helping with meals, bedtime routines, homework, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and keeping little ones entertained throughout the day.

I currently have availability this summer for date nights, occasional babysitting, and recurring care. If you’re looking for a dependable sitter, feel free to reach out. I’d love to learn more about your family and see how I can help!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to several years of professional babysitting and nannying, I have experience caring for children ranging from newborns and infants to toddlers and school-aged kids. I’ve worked with many families throughout the New Orleans area in both recurring and occasional childcare roles.

My experience includes bottle feeding, diaper changes, nap schedules, meal preparation, school pickup, homework help, bedtime routines, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and caring for multiple children at once. I am comfortable adapting to each family’s routines and priorities and pride myself on being dependable, patient, and communicative.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy getting kids outside and engaged in the world around them whenever possible. Some of my favorite activities include going for walks, playing at the park, outdoor games, nature scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk, and backyard play.

Indoors, I enjoy arts and crafts, reading books, building forts, imaginative play, puzzles, board games, baking simple treats, and age-appropriate educational activities. For babies and toddlers, I love sensory play, music, reading, tummy time, and helping them reach developmental milestones through play.

I try to balance fun, creativity, and structure while following each family’s routines and preferences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little boy I cared for started calling me his best friend. We spent so much time reading books, playing outside, building forts, and making up silly games together. Seeing the trust and bond we built over time reminded me why I love working with children so much.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for a child with ADHD and a child on the autism spectrum. Through these experiences, I learned the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication, and adapting to each child’s individual needs.

I understand that every child is unique, and I strive to create a supportive, positive environment where children feel safe, understood, and encouraged to grow.
