Up until the past year, where I switched to being a full-time nanny, I spent eight years being a preschool and infant/toddler teacher. I also spent many years of my childhood as a baby sitter, so working with children has always been something I was passionate about.

I love to make music and art with children, and enjoy spending time outdoors as much as possible! Beyond that, I take time to pay attention to children's interests and milestones that they are working on, and curate our activities to reflect that.

The most important part about being a nanny is providing a safe, fun environment for children to learn and grow while their parents are away. I like being able to give parents peace of mind, and help them feel comfortable while they work, knowing that their child is in good hands.
My experience with special needs children...
Because of my experience working in preschool, I have some experience with children on the spectrum, and non-verbal children. I know basic signs, but am not fluent in sign language- although that is something I am very open to learning!
The most important part about being a nanny...
This isn't specific to one child, but the moment when a baby, or toddler leans their head on my shoulder for a snuggle is the best feeling in the world! I love when I have been working toward a milestone with a child and they finally achieve it, as well!
