One of my favorite moments as a nanny was engaging in child-led play with a 5-year-old boy. I allowed him to guide the activity, and he created his own game from start to finish. Watching him take ownership, build confidence, and enjoy independence, separate from his sister, was incredibly rewarding and a great reminder of how powerful child-led play can be.
