More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have extensive experience working with children, both as a babysitter for neighbors and family friends and through my internships in elementary and middle schools with kids ages 5-13. I have two younger brothers, so I understand the importance of patience, responsibility, and creating a fun but safe environment! This fall, I will be attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Needs, as I am passionate about working with children and helping them grow.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m down for just about anything your kids enjoy! Whether it’s arts and crafts, board games, baking, playing outside, or sports, I love keeping kids engaged in fun and creative ways.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is about creating a safe, fun, and positive space where kids feel comfortable and cared for. I love building connections, whether through play, homework help, or just listening. My goal is to be someone they trust and enjoy spending time with.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with various special needs, primarily ages 15 and older, through volunteer work and school. While I have limited experience with younger children with special needs, I’m always eager to learn and adapt to meet each child’s unique needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was babysitting a young girl, about 9, who insisted on teaching me a secret handshake. It had about 20 steps, including claps, snaps, and a dramatic spin at the end. Every time I messed up, she’d sigh like a disappointed coach and say, ‘Again.’ We practiced at least 30 times until I finally nailed it. She threw her hands up and said, ‘You’re officially in the club!’ No idea what the club was for, but I was honored.
