A little bit about me

I have been the go to babysitter and nanny ever since I was 12 years old. My childhood community always asked me to watch their children and ever since I have had a huge passion for watching over lil ones!
I grew up in California but have been living in Utah for many years and love it. I am very outdoorsy and love to involve the children I look after in as many experiences as possible to help them grow.
I love following different inspirational instagram pages (perfect preschool plans, made to Montessori, 7 days of play) to help implement many varieties of play and learning for the children I look after.
I have a huge passion for learning just as much as helping the lil ones learn. They inspire me so much and brighten my world so I hope to do the same for them.
I got my bachelors degree at Brigham Young University in Recreational Therapy because I love not only helping others but getting them to explore all areas this world has to offer.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a volunteer at courage reins for children with disabilities doing horse therapy with them. I have mentored a lot of children and teens with disabilities and have always held a soft spot in my heart for them.
Every single one of my close friends have at least one child and I’m always helping watch and take care of them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking kids swimming (I used to teach swim lessons), playing sports, going for walks and bike rides, playing dress up, doing crafts, implementing learning activities, helping teach household chores, I absolutely love taking them out to explore the world, and love the precious moments of snuggling them to their favorite show.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Feeling like both parties are so comfortable with each other it feels like I am just part of the family while maintaining a good boundary relationship. I love feeling so trusted that I can make decisions about the children and the parents have total faith in me to do so. Safety, love, and fun with a dash of discipline:)

My experience with special needs children...

I have watched over and mentored children with autism and Down syndrome and also have a niece who has cerebral palsy. My last nanny job was with a little girl who had a spinal chord injury so I had to do her catheter every few hours, help with her activities of daily living, and was in charge of all of her medicine and supplements. I love love love this population and really try to help them live as joyful as a life as possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My last nanny family the little girl was obsessed with her dad. Anytime he’d come home from work she was glued to his side. Even after a long time working with them she still was always instantly focused on her dad but one night after a really good day we were snuggled up watching frozen and her dad got home and as she looked up at him she smiled but stayed right in my arms and rested her head back down on my me. Both her dad and mom were eyes wide open shocked. It was so precious for me to have that moment of complete love.
