A little bit about me

I am 25 years old and absolutely adore children. I have previous experience babysitting my own siblings, as well as for a family with 3 young children. I have also worked as a behavioral therapist working with children ages 18 months - 12 years old with ASD. After my time as an RBT, I worked as a 6th grade math and science teacher, but have since transitioned out of teaching. I currently have a full time position and would be looking for a part time or as needed. I love arts and crafts, games, and cooking. I would also be willing to run errands and help with some light housekeeping. I am CPR certified and also good with pets!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered as a mentor for children at an elementary school, as well as having experience babysitting my two younger siblings. As a behavioral therapist I work one on one with young children and help with the children's self help and social skills. I am well educated in human development and can provide excellent care for children of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing board games/cards, going on walks, playing games such as volleyball, catch, tag, hide and seek. I also enjoy finding fun ways to practice what the children are learning at school, and reading to them and with them. Arts and crafts are also some of my favorite things to do with children that I babysit.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had experience babysitting a child who had high functioning autism, as well as volunteering each month at the Hidden Miracles event, where parents would drop off their special needs children for one Saturday each month and we would have different games and areas set up to have fun while their parents were gone.
