In my time in college, I have babysat for two different families. In both situations I tutored the kids and spent time having fun with them! I still work with the second family currently and work at a local school in the Deaf Education program. At the school, I have the awesome opportunity to work with both elementary and intermediate kids, and assist the teachers with any tasks they need (lesson planning, substituting, tutoring, etc).

I enjoy teaching, crafting, experimenting, outdoor (or indoor) adventures, or even just eating a snack and talking about their day. I also really enjoy tutoring or helping kids with their school!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love being able to have an impact on their lives, even though its likely they won't remember much of my time with them. I love being able to encourage and teach them important life lessons and inspire them to be creative and work hard.

One of my top moments is working in Deaf Education, when I come to the class in the mornings one of the kids always signs "my favorite!" It brightens my day every time.
