More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children from infancy through adolescence, ranging from 3 months to 15 years old, including multiples. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work with children with special needs, gaining valuable hands-on experience, though I have not received formal training in this area. I am also familiar with baby sign language and have some knowledge of ASL, which I have incorporated into my caregiving to support early communication, though I am not fluent. My goal is always to create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging kids in fun, creative, and educational activities! Whether it’s arts and crafts, reading stories, or making up silly songs, I enjoy sparking their imagination. I also love getting outside—playing at the park, riding bikes, or exploring nature. Pretend play, building forts, and simple science experiments are always a hit too! I enjoy baking with kids, letting them help with easy recipes, and encouraging hands-on learning. For quieter moments, I like puzzles, sensory play, or even kid-friendly yoga to help them relax. My goal is to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun while learning along the way!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is meeting children where they are and allowing them to feel truly seen and understood. Every child grows at their own pace, and it’s essential to support them with patience, encouragement, and love. Whether celebrating small victories, helping them navigate big emotions, or simply being a steady, comforting presence, creating a safe and nurturing environment helps them build confidence and thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
I had the privilege of caring for a wonderful boy with a rare gene deletion (presented as ASD) from 6 months to 4 years old, supporting his growth and development in a nurturing and patient way. I worked closely with his team of therapists, especially in speech, to reinforce his progress and communication skills in daily activities. Through this experience, I learned to be adaptable and creative, celebrating his milestones while providing a consistent and supportive environment. Every child is unique, and this role deepened my understanding of the importance of collaboration, sensory-friendly activities, and fostering a space where he felt safe, understood, and encouraged to thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching two little ones, both just learning to walk, share a sweet milestone together. One boy was working on two-hand motor coordination, and the other, part of our nanny share, noticed and gently showed him how to clap. The moment he caught on, they both started clapping together, shouting “Yay!” with huge smiles. It was such a pure and heartwarming moment of joy and connection!
