More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked with children in a variety of spaces and positions including: babysitting and as a children's fantasy portrait photographer.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love helping children explore new activities and skills. From arts and crafts, to family-friendly hikes, the zoo, or even video games, I think there's many different ways to engage kids in their interests and encourage learning.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of nannying is meeting kids on their level. Some kids may be more sensitive and need additional emotional or social support while others may be bursting with energy and require a close eye at all times for safety's sake.
I pride myself on being able to quickly adjust to the needs of the children and families I'm assisting.

My experience with special needs children...
I have limited hands-on special needs experience, mostly stemming from my experience as a children's portrait photographer. That said, I am part of many special needs groups where I continually learn more about different ways to accommodate and assist children who have physical and/or mental limitations.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My job as a fantasy children's photographer often lent itself to story building and imaginative play. One part of this story involved the fairies who helped me run the studio. I would often have kids come in who wanted to know all about the fairies lives and how they helped me take pictures. One little girl in particular asked to meet the fairies and I explained that they had, "--just flown off to lunch!" and she sighed before giving me a big hug and saying she, "still had so much fun" even though she couldn't meet the fairies. It melted my heart!
