I have experience as a Teacher's Assistant in Tallahassee, Florida, 40 DCF Child Care Training hours, my Child Development Associate Certification, and CPR and First-Aid Certified.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning a variety of activities for children to keep them engaged and learning, also while tailoring this to there age group! I love tummy time, sesnroy play with soft toys, music, and some with with High-contrast cards for 0-4 months, adding textured toys and baby-safe water play at 4-6 months. At 6-12 I love to add simple stacking toys, reading board books, crawling obstacle course, and of course Peel-a-boo. For toddlers, some of my favorite activties are finger painting, musical chairs, chalk drawing, nature walks/ sensory exploration and sticker fun!! For 5-10 years, school-age kids, some activities I've noticed that age group tends to love are arts and crafts, board games and puzzles, outdoor sports from soccer, relay races to a fun game of tag, and of course science experiment, but simple ones, like baking soda volcanoes. With 10-12 I like to offer some DIY projects like scrap books or tie die t-shirts, movie nights, and outdoor adventure walks or bike rides! :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their families. This trust allows for open communication, ensures the child’s safety and well-being, and creates a nurturing environment where the child can grow and thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

During my time as a teacher’s assistant in a preschool class, I had the opportunity to help a non-verbal child with special needs. I helped in the process of developing ways for him to express his emotions and communicate his needs through alternative methods, such as using visual aids and sign language. By offering patience, support, and tailored strategies, we were able to create a positive and encouraging environment where he felt more confident and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a toddler I cared for took their first steps, and I was there to cheer them on. It was such a special feeling to witness that milestone and share in the joy of their growth and development!
