Hi, I’m Emma! I’m a junior at UTC and staying in Chattanooga for the summer. I love art, music, baking/cooking, being outside, and of course kids! I am the oldest of three in my family and my babysitting/nannying career goes back seven years. During my gap year, between my freshman and sophomore years of college, I worked at as a Co-Teacher at a preschool in Franklin for six months. That was one of the most valuable experiences of my life. I learned so much about joy, compassion, friendship, and love, and only wish to share it all with the world!

I was a Co-Teacher at High Hopes Development Center in Franklin, TN, for six months. I have been babysitting and nannying for the past seven years. I have also done various volunteer work with kids like summer bible and choir camps and helping with community theater productions.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside, doing crafts, movie marathons, games, and get very serious about dance parties. I am also an avid supporter of dress-ups and am excellent at portraying any role assigned to me while playing-pretend.

My experience with special needs children...

At High Hopes, a facility designed for in-house therapy for children with special needs, I was lucky enough to meet countless children with unique physical needs and learning requirements. In my classroom I was able to serve children with cerebral palsy and Down’s syndrome.
