A 5 year old I was a camp counselor for had taken a bite of his friend's spicy food that he was dared to try. He started crying and was completely inconsolable. I felt terrible and was giving him water and milk and other mild food from his own lunch to see if it would calm him down. None of it helped. That was, until I had a bright idea and brought a band-aid out and put it right over his mouth. The seemingly huge problem was completely solved and it was like nothing had happened. Band-aids fix almost everything I guess :)
